My wife's clunky old desktop pc has two USB ports. Both are in use.

I need to plug a USB printer in to her pc. Any reason I can't use one of those small port "splitters" (maybe called hubs??). Basically, it plugs into one of the pc USB ports, and then gives me 4 other peripheral ports to use.

Power consumption is not a factor here. The intended printer has a separate power supply. The USB cable carries only a datastream.

Go for it. I've got one or 2 on my systems.
