Printing Speed

How do you get the HP 4000 to print faster. It appears to be printing really slow.

Any help in this matter would be great.

Try cold-resetting the printer. One of my co-worker's 4000 was printing about half speed for a while until he cold reset it. Very strange. I've only seen it a few times. [to cold reset: hold down the go butting while powering on the printer]

Pull the JetDirect card first.

This is most likely caused by the print resolution chosen being "pro res 1200" which prints at 1/2 speed. This is done at the driver and could also be set at the printer control panel in the configuration menu.
