Hi, I purchased one of these all-in-one printers a few months ago, and recently purchased a number of "compatible" ink cartridges from 7dayshop.

The replacement cartridge (I have only needed to replace the black so far) fits into the slot perfectly, but I get the following message:

"The installed ink cartridge is incompatible with this
printer.
Install a compatible ink cartridge.
Epson recommends the following Epson ink cartridge.
Black: T0711
Replace/Quit"

I'm given no option to continue - this is not an over-rideable warning, it's final!

I have repeated the exercise with another new cartridge - same result.

Do I have to give up on cheap substitutes and only use (relatively) expensive Epson cartridges?
Have Epson blocked compatibles?
Is there a fix?

Help and advice please. Thanks.

Just this once I would spend the money on an OEM cartridge just to see if the message goes away. If it does go away, try replacing the yellow or cyan or any other with the cheap cartridge, if they also fail, contact the place that you got them from. Get a refund.

I went through the same problem with my Canon i900d. They refunded my money.
