Canon Pixma IP 1600 Paper Out

I have a Canon Pixma IP 1600, and I have been experiencing a problem with it lately. When I try to print using the printer, the printer says Paper out, even though I have paper in the printer. I have checked for things that could be stuck in the printer and I have also run to clean the paper feed roller a couple of times. I cannot figure out the problem with the printer. Please help me out.:( :confused:

There has to be a paper present sensor. Look in the paper path for a little free swinging piece of plastic. The paper hits it and it moves through a sensor.
