I just replaced the registration/feed assemle per advice here

www.rechargermag.com/articles/32825

I thought reassemly went well but now I am getting messages

"output bin full" and then "clear paper form standard output bin"

there is no paper in what I think is the output bin.

I just ordered a refurbished unit but is there any hope for this one?

Look at the face down delivery assembly. Face the printer, watch the paper feed. There are three black plastic flags that should be hanging down. The two outside flags are about an inch across. The center one (attached to the right one) is skinny. Make sure that when you lift and release the skinny one it drops down freely. If it stays in the horizontal position it will sense "bin full".

If thats your problem, take the top cover off and snap the plastic rod back into the "U" shaped holder. If its already in the holder, look at the end of the rod, its supposed to swing through the sensor freely. Play with it until it does.

Black plastic flags are free, any other suggestions?

With the top cover off, can you see the flag swinging between the sensor?
Make sure the sensor is clean. Could be a bad sensor. Or bad Engine Control Board.

sounds like the sensor arm has been pushed out of alignment, make sure it moves freely along the sensor, take the sensor arm off and place it back in.

I highly doubt that it would be a faulty engine controller.
