View Full Version : LJ2430 Print quality / ghosting

Anything printed to this LJ2430 ghosts itself a quarter of the way down the page. You can see in the image in the URL below the word 'LaserJet' is a good example. Unfortunately the scan didn't pick up the rest, but that stood out enough.

I've run a cleaning page with no success, I've replaced the toner cartridge as well.

This printer is only a little bit more than a year old...

Any ideas?

1-Replace the transfer roller
2- clean the HV contacts on the cartridge and on the printer.
3- Make sure the paper is within specification for this printer.

Could it be a combination of the transfer roller and fuser? I just took the fuser out and there is clearly something different about the left side of it. Part of it has browned - almost like it's burnt there...

If it looks burned, then it probably is. Replace it.
