Hello,

One of our schools has a HP Color LaserJet 3800C printer that calibrates itself every 10 minutes. Not exactly the same time interval everytime. I have looked thorugh all the menus and such and can't find anything to control calibration. I know that with our other color laserjets (4550, 8550, 4600) calibrate when they boot up and sometimes when you send a print job to them if they have been in standby mode for some time. To my knowledge the 3800 was the same way until about a moth ago.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.

Is this printer connected to a surge protector {power strip} or a UPS ?
There may be power cycles in the building, and or the UPS.
Connect directly to the wall socket.

 This printer will not stop calibrating for me either. It is very annoying and wearing down my printer. The printer is connected directly to the wall.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason this constant calibration problem is common on the Color 3000, 3600 , and 3800 series printers ... I've seen several folks reporting that updating the firmware (you can download and install it from HP.com) fixed the problem ... I would try that ...
