All, I have in my office this lovely color printer.
What happens is when one prints anything duplexed the second side is slightly smeared, though noticeable. Especially when compared to the first side, which was sharp and clear. Initally I thought it might be the fuser not maintaining the heat after the first pass but if you run a multi page document through the printer single sided only, each page is as clear as the first. The owners have called HP directly and have been told that it appears to be the 'static eliminator'. The transfer unit has been replaced as that was the first help centers suggestion. I have looked up the static eliminator and it seems to be available and not terribly expensive.
I appreciate any help.
