URGENT: LCD displays <INSTALL CARTRIDGE> ?????

On the Canon MF3110 laserprinter

How do I get rid of this display?

The mannual says:

"If the LCD displays <INSTALL CARTRIDGE>, reset the machine by opening the front cover and close it again."

But it doesn't work, the display stays on !!!

Did you try a different cartridge.

The one you are trying to use might be bad.

If not bad, have you cleaned the contacts?
