JetDirect for Mac OS and PC (wireless)?

I want to use the JetDirect EX Plus (J2591A) to connect a Mac G4 (OS 10.4.7) and a PC laptop (Windows XP) to a LaserJet 6MP, via an ethernet router. The laptop is communicates through a wireless connection, the G4 directly.

Will this server do it? I mention this because I find many used ones on ebay.

Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? (I'm not very adept at networking issues.)

Hmm. Wonder why no one from this forum replied (HP forum generated much more interest in same question).

Well, for anyone interested: the "client-request-too-long" message that the Add Printer dialog gave me whenever I attempted that action was finally eliminated by reinstalling the CUPS file for Mac OS 10.4.x

After doing that everything worked like a snap. Setup on the PC was not so very complicated either, after determining the IP address by printing a test page.
