Epson Stylus Photo 1270

All lights are flashing on the printer. The manual says this means an internal error and, if powering off doesn't clear it, to contact tech support.

Any suggestions for further diagnosing the problem would be much appreciated.

unfortunatley epson doesnt like to tell anyone stuff that helps.
You may have a carriage, motor, or paper pick problem.
Hold down the paper and continue buttons and power on. This may re-set the logic and overcome the error. If the Print carriage is clogged, your hosed.
Most of the suggestions for cleaning these have some merit, but ultimately result in failures. Personally, I just toss them out and replace. The print carriage is too expensive along with the labor charge to make it worth it.
Buy cheap, throw away ink printers. they will get you on the ink, so dont waste too much money on products that are expensive to maintain and repair.
