I have a PIXMA iP6000 that I would really like to use with a print server (D-Link parallel/USB model). I tried to configure it once unsuccessfully before checking with Canon tech support. It's not the D-Link. My HP 5P works fine with it. Canon told me that the printer did not support a print server. Does anyone know of an unsupported technical method to network this PIXMA? Thanks in advance!

You either need a keyspan USB server of a silex brand printserver/usb-server.
Neither are overly cheap but I can tell you now from searching tirelessly for such a device that those are your only two options.
Buying the Silex units in the UK is next to impossible but I do have the contact details for a supplier other than Amazon (who charge stupid money) or you can look on eBay, google for Keyspan USB servers.

Thanks for the suggestion - it was very helpful. I checked out both the Keyspan and Silex web sites and now understand what I need to do. I am in the U.S., so maybe I will not have as much trouble finding one at a reasonable cost.
