I was given a LaserJet 2100 TN and am having problems with getting it to print with Windows 98. I down loaded "hp LaserJet 2100 PCL 6 driver" from HP's site. I unzipped it and used the wizard in Windows to install the driver. All seem to go well until I tried to print something. Nothing happened. The print que appeared to be empty and obviously the printer did nothing. Further, in its previuos life it was a network printer in a small office, connected to 3 desk top systems. I am trying to use the parallel port on the printer from my desk top in my home office. It will print its own internal test print but will not print the test print from the Windows wizard.
Questions I have are :
Did I load the correct driver?
When it was used in its previous application did the parallel input get taken out or disabled somehow and how would I tell?
Is there a way from Windows that I can interigate the printer thru the parallel port?
Thanks for the help
Mike
