View Full Version : Squeaky 4050
Suggestions anyone? I just installed a maintenance kit (last one I installed appx 3 yrs ago) and everything works great but for one thing...now somewhere there is squeaking, go figure. Does anyone know if lubing all appropriate places and with what would be ok? Silly me, there was so much dust when I got in there that I blew it out with canned air; I don't know if that had anything to do with drying it out or not. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Does it squeek when printing, or just sitting there?
If it squeeks when not printing it's probably a fan.
If it makes noise when printing try the cartridge first.
Don't lubricate...that attracts dust. Did u clean the face down delivery assembly?
If you didn't throw out the old parts, u could reinstall the old fuser to hear if the noise goes away.
Thank you very much for your help. I will troubleshoot with your suggestions; it only squeaks when it prints. Have a good day! :)
