Hey,
We've had this LaserJet 4650 for awhile now, but lately its been having really serious issues.
When we try to print anything, the entire page (except for about a 1/4" on the left side) is completely filled up with black.
We havent tried anything yet, cept for restarting it a coupla times.
Just needed to know what could possibly be the issue here.

Usage? Toner replaced? You probably have a laser gone bad. H\V assy. possible, but laser is a sure bet.

Any ideas on how to fix it ?
It used to be a heavily used printer, until it started having these kinds of problems.

If it is heavy use, then clean the contacts on the toners, and on the printer.
It may just be color toners are out. Replace all with known good toners.
If still a problem, then the HV assy. is bad. or the contacts are making a poor connection. It is on the right side, large board. Removing top cover to get to one screw for the side cover is not a job for you if you are not a tech.

Alrite guys....just wanted to update.
The problem was a refurbished black toner. The damn thing was stuck or something and wasnt turning.
I switched it with 1 that WAS working, and bingo...no more black pages.
I did have to clean out the transfer drum, as it was blackened by the leaking toner.
One thing I have learnt from this is not to trust refurbished toners.
