I know this has been asked as it is in the achives but I just got a laserjet 4plus printer, it has a JetDirect card in it, now I'm running a home work, and want to put this printer onto the network, the problem is the configing of the card, I did a test print and the card is listed as 192.0.0.192, my router is using a ip adress of 192.168.0.1 being a dlink, I don't know what version of the JetDirect card it is, now none of my computers can see the printer, I tryed changing the ip but not sure which setting it is, this was in the mio config of the menu, I presum the "IP BYTE 1 = though to 4 = " is the ip for the printer, and "SM BYTE 1 = though to 4 = " is the sub mask, what is "LG BYTE 1 = Though to 4 = " and "GW BYTE 1 = though to 4 = " I'd have to presume that on of them is the gateway, I changed the first one to
"IP BYTE 1=192, 2=168, 3=0, 4=210" and changed "SM BYtE 1=255, 2=255, 3=255, 4=0" which I think has to be the the ip and the submask, I don't know how to save it, also need to know how to configer the printer name.
Thanks
