HP Laserjet 2100 problem

The company (HP Laserjet 2100 TN) network printer seem to work properly most of the times, but time after time it is only willing to print if I go up to it and press the button on it. Could you please tell me why is it playing around with me? Thanx in advance,

Each program has a differnt setting were to print to. which tray . check this and if still is acting up. Need to perform cold reset. Remove power , remove jet direct card , powr on and hold round button for 10 seconds. power off and reinstall jet direct card. for network printing.

I have ran into this problem using the hp2100tn on windows 95/98 systems. The problem every time was that the printer was actually a 2100tn, and we loaded/installed just the 2100 driver. Now that I installed the 2100tn [notice-(tn)] driver, we never had to hit the button again. Give it a try.

99.9% of the time USE THE 5E driver over the pcl6 driver, this will cure LOTS of non printing issues!!! Just a tip!
