HP laserjet 1200

I have a HP Laser jet 1200 that has all the light lit and re-set per HP and they still are on any ideas?

I sometimes find that reseated the cables to and from the laser scanner at the top of this printer clears this fault.

if all the lights are on ,generally it is an indication of a fatal error.if you have turned it off and unplugged it and let it sit at least 5 minutes and the lights all come on solid again at power up.then , when they are on;press the go button for a secondary error light message.after pressing go the light pattern should change.what does it change to?
