HP 4 "50 Service" error

I received this error and assumed it was a fuser. HP troubleshooting codes show error codes of 50.X Fuser, or 50.4 Whatever.

I replaced the fuser anyways and I continue to get the "50 Service" error which technically isn't in the troubleshooting guides.

I tried powering down and waiting 10 minutes then back up - no luck.

I will try reseating the fuser.

Any ideas?

10 minutes isn't long enough. Give it 20 to be sure the cap discharges.
Could also be power supply.

As long as the power cord,and or NIC cable are plugged in, you may still be getting a trickle charge preventing correct discharge to clear the error.
Un-plug all and wait 15 minutes.

It will still be getting a trickle charge if its still plugged in. 15-20min should do it.
