deskjet 5150 print colour problems.

Hi I have a deskjet 5150 which is currently misbehaving as in despite clean attempts all the way up to re priming the cartridges. I still get a blue 'scan' line accross any images printed. The calibration settings are ok as are the cartridges in terms of being clean. I was thinking it may be printheads and this may be a simple job of changing the cartridges. Any help would be great!!

Take the cartridge out, and put some Iso-alcohol on a soft paper towel. set the cartridge on it for a few seconds, and lightly rub it one way only,{down}
Check the edges, and the beveled edge too. the ink station may be dirty.
Also check the carriage edge sensor. May have a glob of ink on it.
