 I've replaced the pickup rollers and feed rollers but it still pulls the page out about 1" out of the tray and then gives a paper jam error. It feeds perfectly from the bypass tray. I've tried a different paper tray from an identical printer and it still won't feed.

This is a printer that's used 24 hours a day with the same paper. Is there a way I can tell if the feed rollers are not turning?

I can see the Pickup rollers make two rotations and feed the sheet about an inch or so before it gives the 13.1 error and then the sheet slides back into the tray.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Notorious! These units have a feed roller assy. behind the MP assy.
As long as you have it off, replace the registration assy. as well.
Go to HP Part Surfer for PN's.

It sounds to me like something is prohibiting it from getting to the next sensor in it's path, therefore it thinks a jam is present. Have labels been fed through it or has a jammed piece been removed to where the page was torn and a part of it was left inside the printer?
I'd look as closely as possible for obstructions.
