HP 4100mfp light printing left side

When I scan or copy with my 4101mfp it prints out very light on the left side of the page. If I just print from my computer it turns out fine.

From what I read it sounds like I may have to clean/replace the laser unit mirrors. Is there a manual or directions that describe this process. Is there anything else that could be the problem?

Have you gone through the scanner calibration checks?
If the printer prints fine, then it isn't the laser.
Make sure everything is clean in the scanner part of the printer. And do the calibrations before you start replacing things.
