Hello,
I need a printer to do marketing prints (postcards, flyers, etc). My budget is around $1500.

What can you recommend for this with this budget.

Thank you,

see if the store manager will let you test the following printers first (use professional paper). Then, by looking and timing the prints (speed or slow), you will be able to make decision.

1- HP photosmart pro B9180 $699 (hits the store this 9/1/06)

2- ePSON R1800 and/or r2400 $600 to 900

3- HP DesignJet 130 series $1295 :D

I would suggest the HP models. They are fairly simple machine, the heads and ink are usually separate and that increases life. They are a widely used model and can be or have been worked on by many people so finding service should be pretty easy. Plus I have worked on the DJ 130. Easy to tear down and clean really good quality.

AHHHH,$1500 is enough for one good printer.Choiced by your close wholesalor.whether you need the low price compatible ink cartridges? There is the same results as original.Wish you can get one new printer soon.

Lemon,
Regarding the person who is trying to sell you aftermarket cartridges, the quality of your prints with them may or may not be the same as O.E.M. ink. However ,the durability of your prints will NOT be as long as O.E.M. inks. You may also have a reduced life for your printheads(if you get a printer that has them separately). My experience is that high quality aftermarket inks retail for close to the cost of O.E.M. inks.

First of all your in the wrong category for LaserJet problems and second
you should never hijack another person thread. Just a little reminder for good
practice.
