 Hi there, recently one of the companies i work for has purchased a second hand but pretty much brand new HP 8550GN. However the previous owner changed the drum kit without resetting the printers drum value back to 100%. How do i do this? I asked HP and all i got from them was "buy a new drum kit and follow the instructions." I already have a new drum so im not doing that! Its only the reset drum instructions that im lacking so if anyone can help it would be mutch appreciated! Thanx!
Patrick.

Hold down the Left side of the Item and Value keys at power-up.
The service mode menu lets you re-set any values you need to.
Leave the total page counts alone.

Unfortunatly there seem to be resets for everything but the drum in the service menu. The only thing drum related that i can see is the drum motor test. What am i doing wrong? Anybody know???

Howdy, sorry for not getting back sooner, It may be the density sensor that is causing this, try reseting the "Transfer count", and clean the density sensor in the door.

The cheeky monkeys had swaped the chip inside the drum for an old one. Chip changed, problem solved!
