HP deskjet printer 712C

I have a HP deskjet printer. When it prints a page it does not center the printing in the middle of the page. It leaves off a word or two on the right side of the page. I was wondering if there is a setting that I might do to correct this problem? Also once it starts printing something and then if I would like to cancel another page it will not stop.

Have you checked the margins in printer setup?
Usually the printer will print until the buffer is empty.

Do the margins shift? You may need to oil the carriage rail.
