Thread: CP1515n constant paper jam

  1. #1

    Default CP1515n constant paper jam

First page prints OK, but the second page stucks in fuser. Changed P/U roller and separation pad, updated newest firmware, but problem repeats. Any help will be appreciated.

If you print just a single page document, do you still get a second page jamming in the fuser or does one page print out just fine?

If you still get a second page it is probably the pickup solenoid sticking open allowing the pickup roller to keep turning and feeding a second page that the printer is not expecting.

Single page in most cases prints OK and there's no second page in paper path. Sometimes jam occurs at first page at the exact position as the jam at second page. I made picture of jam position (rear door view).

Can you print out an event log and tell us the jam codes and also what it says to the right of the jam code? Total page count might also.

As it turns out those codes aren't very helpful. The 13.000 just means jam in tray 1 area. The manual isn't very helpful on that one. Is there an image on the page that is part way out of the fuser or is it blank?

Printed images are OK, there's no blank pages. Meantime, I installed fuser from CM1312 (it's the same spare part), but problem not solved.
