Thread: HP 4200 with no display.

  1. #1

Default HP 4200 with no display.

I'm a new tech to this site, and they give me a printer that has no display to work on. It has power, as the fans turn when I flip the switch, but I get no display and no lights. I've replaced the DC controller board, as well as tested with a known good display/cable.

I still get nothing on the display.

    Suggestions?

Sounds like a problem with the formatter board.
Swap DIMM / memory & formatter board with known working machine.
We carry formatters at PrinterTechs if needed, 866-352-7108.

Or replace the LCD panel. That's a pretty common problem with 4200's.

As it turns out, it was the DIMM. Swapped it with a good DIMM, and it worked.
