    Default clj 3600 clicking noise

I am troubleshooting an issue with an HP CLJ 3600 and would like some assistance please. When the unit is going thru POST and also when it is feeding paper from either tray (1-3) there is an audible clicking sound coming from the lower area behind the transfer belt. I'm assuming it is the paper feed assembly or registration assembly. Not really sure what it is called. Other than that I'm not sure where it could be coming from. I have not tried diagnostic mode to try the different components yet. There are no jams and no error codes... just an annoying noise. Any ideas??
    Thank you.

We have had a clicking sound in some of our CLJ printers caused by refilled cartridges being too hard to turn. This causes a torque limiting feature in the transmission to click out so the gears will not be damaged. Have not seen this problem with genuine HP cartridges. I'm not saying this is your problem, just a suggestion. Was there any change that you can tie the beginning of this clicking to?
