I have two printers attached to USB on an Intel mother board (D975XBX2).
The printers (an HP3015 and a Konica Minolta 2400W) work fine after I reboot the PC. They continue to work fine for a few days, then, if I print something, the job goes into the print spooler and sits there with a print pending forever. If I restart the printer, the job then prints. And the printers again work for short while and the same thing happens. Both printers show ready and I can change settings on the printers, but they seem to be missing some sort of signal comming back from the printer to indicate that it's OK to print. I installed the latest drivers for these printers and the same thing.

Before I built this computer, I had these units on another mother board (an ASUS) and they never failed to print. So, it's something to do with the Intel board, maybe a problem with the USB chip support code drivers, I am just guessing at this point.

Have any of you experts seen anything like this?

Thanks,
Joel
