This printer worked fine when I took it out of the box. The toner cartridge was almost empty so before packing it up I put in a new cartridge. The only ones in stock are refurbed. Being suspicious of recycled cartridges I decided to test it. It passed Power On Self Test but when I tried to print it gave a 52.00 error. I put the origional cartridge back in and it worked fine. After some research on the Internet and some poking around I saw the tab that sticks up to push the Laser assy. safety cover out of the way was broken. It is on the right side of the cartridge and sticks up like the rudder on an airplane. Apparently other 52.00 errors not related to the toner cartridge are laser assy. issues and seem to be mostly unseated cables, and sometimes the electronics that drive the laser assy.
