Afternoon all.. Had a system crash at home on our family computer.. Once the crash was corrected we had to re-install the software for the printer. For some reason even though we download the full application the scanner portion of the program does not seem to carry over. We are unable to find it in the HP folder on the C drive. When you attempt to scan from the computer it tells you it can not find the scanner.. When you push the scan button on the printer it says "no scanner options".. We are able to print and fax just fine..

We have already check the HP website and got all the patches and so forth. Also Windows XP is updated and current. have un/re-installed the program 3 times with the same outcome each time. Verified our Plug and Play services were working...

Kind of out of ideas.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have heard in the past that the IRQ for the scanner causes problems.
It was told to me to un- install and re-install the scanner first then in-stall the printer and fax.
