LasrJet 2300 feeding problem

I have a LJ 2300 machine out in my shop that keeps jamming. The paper just doesn't quite advance out the top feed. About the last 1" of the paper stays inside the feeder causing a jam status. After clearing the jam the error will not clear unless the machine is unplugged and powered back on. It does not do it every time, just enough to be a real annoyance to our union labor. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you may have a dirty or defective paper sensor.
