We have had five failures recently on the processor fans. This is a 60mm X 60mm X 15mm fan. HP is replacing these with a case fan that is much thicker and has a higher duty cycle since these fans run continuously. Two of the fans that failed were from Vietnam, two were from Taiwan and the last one was made in China. The HP part number is Q1271-60160 but any good 60mm case fan should work, you will need longer screws to install the thicker fan. The HP kit comes with longer screws. When you remove the origional fan be careful because some of the older printers have small steel washers between the fan and the heatsink and they can fall down into the electronics. The error code is 5.1:10 for these fan failures. We sent one of these to American Samoa and it failed two days after it got there. The fan was running fine but the tachometer failed so the printer assumed that the fan had quit turning. They scrounged a fan off an old Pentium-3 processor and got it working.
