Does anyone know if the duplex unit of 6980(same with 6940 deskjet) is compatible with the officejet 7210???I have seen in some sites that it is but in hp support (through chat) told me it is not but i suspect they want to sell and told me that. I also have seen that the duplexer of 7210 and 6940 have the same part number(Q5712), my deskjet's 6980 duplexer is Q5712L.Please help!!!

If the part number is the same, it's the same part!

Why don't you take the duplexer off your 6980 and put it on the 7210????
Q5712L and Q5712 are not valid part numbers.

It should be Q5712A. And it is compatible with 6940, 6980, 7200 printers, photosmart 2600, 2700, 8100, 8400, and DJ6500, and 6800 printers.

Actually I haven't yet purchased the 7210 but i already have the 6980 and the duplexer on my deskjet 6980 says Q5712L, is it the same with the Q5712A? (in the parts on the book of 6980 it says the part is Q5712A)I am confused...

Propably the Q5712L is for the country which i am(greece) or that the part was included in the box or something like that they must be all the same parts I believe, am I correct?

I couldn't find a part number of Q5712L. Maybe, it's your country code. Whatever, It should work in your new printer.
