I have a LJ4100dtn that has about 150000 pages on her. Now every 2 or 3 duplexed print jobs, the printer will print the first page fine but then on the second it will stop and an error on the control panel says "Cannot duplex. Check rear bin." Anybody have any ideas here. I gave it a good cleaning and made sure the gears on the fuser were good. Any ideas? I posted this on HP's website with no response, so maybe someone here will have an idea.

Your duplexer assy. may have a very worn roller in it . There may be a piece of paper stuck in it. Try another fuser, as the timing can change when they get worn. Check for fan operation in the duplexer.

I have found in these duplexers that there is a U shaped clutch that gets lose over time, and my duplexer had the same problem as well.

You can take off the side panels and inspect the gears.
