My HP 1200 Laserjet is connected through a HP Jetdirect 175X external print server to my network. Last week "it" decided it did not want to print from any of the computers on the network! So I re-installed the program on the main computer which is running Windows XP Pro. I have another computer that also runs XP pro and the last is windows 98. It worked for a couple of days and then decided "it" does not want to listen to my computer! I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer many times and it won't work. When I pull up the printers it shows that it is installed and "ready". When I send anything to be printed I get the error message-This document failed to print and it offers me to troubleshoot, which I do and nothing seems to work! I have done cold resets on both the print server and the printer! Any suggestions??

Your print server should have an IP address and subnet mask which you assign through software. Can you ping the print server?
