I have an HP 8500DN printer that I got from work.

I brought it home in my truck by laying it down.

The printer was working before it was moved.

When I got it home and booted it up it nows says "Clear Paper Jam"

I can't find a paper anywhere,...not even a piece of paper.

I think a toner spills over a sensor may be the problem.

I took all the parts I could remove like the the drum, fuser, cartridges dulexer and like to clean out the printer.

I used an air gun to blow out everywhere that I saw towner and dust.

IT STILL SAYs " CLEAR PAPER JAM" !

Anybody know what I can do to narrow down the sourse of the problem. There may still be a sensor that needs to be claened by hand.

Please Help

Thanks

I would check all parts such as the fuser/Trays etc...
Look for loose parts/ bent prongs/doors not closing properly/ tray paper sensor moved/
Sometimes it's the smallest thing and it cause such hassels/
Even the cartridge could be the problem not touching a sensor.

Good Luck

when my HP 8150 does this, it is because the paper jam sensor has been "open". move it down, it is located on the upper left of the fuser assembly. can be accessed just by opening the door, no need to remove fuser.
